What’s On In Dublin: August
August is the last month of Summer (tear), and it’s always a great one for events in the city to soak up the last of the sun (ok so we’re optimistic.) Here’s some great things happening this month in Dublin.
A weekend long BBQ you say? We’re there. The Big Grill will see a turnout of the finest craft beers, BBQ food and foodie entertainment that Ireland has to offer – we’ll be checking out the chilli eating competition for sure! It’ll be held in Herbert Park in Ballsbridge so head there Thursday or Friday for a bit of apres-work fun or bring the kids down at the weekend.
The Gentlemens Academy presents the last Disco Brunch of the Summer at 2pm Sunday 16th of August. Head down for a day of cocktails, DJ’s and delicious food. Tickets are €25.
For a fun day out with the family head to the Dublin Horse Show in the RDS. Show jumping competitions, horse classes, music, food and a Ladies Day are all apart of this 5 day horsey affair.
The Camden Quarter brings a weekend of music to Whelans and Opium for anyone who loves those deep south sounds. There’s a whole host of musicians taking the stage and entrance is free!
One of the greatest musicals of all times is hitting Dublin’s Bord Gáis Theatre for a stunning new production of this iconic story. Tickets range from €20-60.
