Tried & Tested: Make Up by Dylan Bradshaw
Today we’re excited to introduce our new Beauty blogging contributor; Avalon from Girl Pout Town! She’ll be bringing us lots of great reviews from various products she’s tried and tested and sharing her expert knowledge with you all. To kick off, she was invited in to Dylan Bradshaw last week to experience their salon and to test out their db FACE products…
After testing out a number of products, I have picked out a few items that I think will enhance your daily beauty regime. You can purchase all these products in the Dylan Bradshaw salon on South William Street or check out their website dylanbradshaw.com.
1. db FACE Skin Transforming Foundation in Cream Beige or Almond
This is a light foundation but it still provides you with the long-lasting coverage you need. My skin felt like it could breathe and I loved the matte finish it gave me, it was smooth and luxurious. It glided on and the pump will make sure you don’t overuse the product. This foundation comes with an SPF 15 providing protection to the skin. The Skin Transforming Foundation is €32 and the girls will happily match you up in the salon.
2. db FACE Tawney Peach Blusher
I love blusher, it can finish a look and take you from washed out to perky in seconds. This is a lovely blusher to give you that gentle glow without making you look too overdone. I really like this colour and found it worked really well against my skin, highlighting and reflecting to compliment my skin tone. It’s very similar to MAC’s Warm Soul. The Tawney Peach blusher is €22.
3. db FACE Goddess Lipstick
A fab nude lipstick that worked really well against my skin tone, it was long-lasting and matte. It did not dry out easily either, which is always good -no one likes a scaldy lip! Nude lips are great contrast to a smokey eye. This product is €22.
Tip: I always exfoliate my lip using an old toothbrush and warm water and then apply Blistex Relief Cream before applying a matte or nude lipstick to stop it caking and flaking.
Finally, their brushes are of excellent quality. They have a Fibre Foundation brush for €26, or the smaller one for €19, the brush is very similar to the MAC Fibre Brush except a lot less!
