Tried & Tested: Botanics Radiance Balm

Well hello there, Botanics Radiance Balm. Come to Mama. Another gem in the Boots family, this brightening product was in my package from Boots Ireland last week and it’s a good one.

It promises to minimise visible signs of fatigue and stress, leaving skin full of vitality. It’s enriched with brightening Hibiscus, a natural skin booster, which contains AHA’s (alpha hydroxyl acids – mouthful eh?) which act as mild exfoliators to help leave skin looking smoother and brighter.

You can apply this balm over your moisturiser or use it alone as a primer. I used it as just a primer to start with, and I’d advise this if you’re particularly oily. I don’t want you all to be glowing with oil and sending me hate mail!

Ever used Mac’s Strobe Cream? Well, it’s a really similar to this. It’s a very good dupe in fact. The Radiance Balm is a light cream that is eridisicent. When you see the cream in the tube, it looks pink and you’ll probably think ‘’Jesus!’’ but I assure you, it goes onto to the skin translucent and it gives a subtle highlight effect. It basically makes you look less dead, a very handy product after a night on the tiles.

You can use a small amount initially, the size of a 10 cent coin, and then add more if you want a brighter effect. It certainly gave my skin a glow and it gives you a little extra confidence when you do want to go without the ol’ war paint. It smells really nice and also has SPF 15 too.

Botanics Radiance Balm is €3.99 and it’s available in Boots stores throughout Ireland. Get on it!
