With this all those lovely things in mind, myself and friend (and avid enthusiast of all things pretty) Moya of Designology, came together to style a picturesque Autumn picnic for friends. I’m sharing the photographs with you to inspire you to do the same – because eating at a table is boring in comparison!

Antipasti boards are fuss free and great for every one to tuck into – pick up cured meats, olives, sun dried tomatoes and rustic crackers. Lay out a selection of cheeses with figs, red grapes, nuts and quince (it’s less messy than relish) and don’t forget the cheese knife!

Moya also made a blackberry, almond and honey cake (and yes, it was delicious), which finished off the savoury delights perfectly. We laid everything out on rustic platters, no need for plates, just give your guests napkins and let them tuck in.

Bring lots of blankets, cushions and, if you’re feeling creative, some flowers or potted plants that’ll make your scene seem a little more homely. Now go forth and plan your picnic, enjoy with friends, and of course, take photos!
