‘We wanted to do a pop up for all our lovely customers and really put a face to an email address, and also to introduce new people to the brand which is happening already. When this space became available I just had to get it, I love the aesthetics in here, it suited the interior finds we stock perfectly as well as the art prints.’

‘One of the new brands is Hubsch, it’s Danish. They have beautiful homeware, really well made with affordable price tags. They have lots of gorgeous cushions, copper, coloured glass, things that would look gorgeous around the home.’  Feather Cushion €45

‘We have a beautiful collection from Irish designer Jenny Walsh. It’s a set of 3 handmade Alderwood vases that you can make yourself. It comes in this gorgeous packaging that you open up and slot the pieces together, then put the little test tube in the middle. We’ve sold so many of those so I’m hoping we’ll get some more in before the pop up ends!’ Prices from €14+

‘This guy, our T Rex, is a collaboration with Irish artist Vincent Lam. He was in the store last Saturday as our first ‘Maker in the Window’ and was sculpting a raven like this. It’s such a stunning piece of art. I actually have one mounted in my hallway at home and anytime someone comes into the house they’re amazed by it.’ Every Saturday AP&B will have a different ‘Maker in the Window’ showcasing how their products are made. 

‘Another Danish brand we have here is Madame Stoltz. We have some furniture, accessories and lighting from her which are beautiful. The lighting sells really well in here because they’re such interesting pieces, and it’s so hard to find really unusual lighting these days.’ Black & Copper Lamp €105

“With the kitchenware we stock, the best way to describe it is we really like well designed, functional pieces, that are aesthetically quite nice to look at. We’ve touched on tea and coffee, serving platters, bowls, everything you would need from day to day.”

“We love to support Irish, we do go out and abroad to find products, but if there is something in Ireland that we really think is great then we’ll get it. We love independent companies and that whole ethos of being a platform for people who have something really great and want to showcase it.”

“For the pop up shop, we’ve curated a selection of vintage furniture – some pieces haven’t been reworked as they’re perfect on their own, but other pieces we’ve put our own stamp on. We wanted to provide one off vintage pieces that are ready to bring into your home because we’ve done the touching up for you. We tend to do a bit of the Ercol furniture range as they’re not clunky, weighty pieces so they’re perfect for small homes. We have some gorgeous retro side boards too as that trend is very much back.”

“We have a strong focus on kitchenware in the range because I think that’s the heart of the home, where you socialise with your friends and family, so we wanted to stock pieces for that idea.”

“We’re doing a speciality coffee in the shop, we love our coffee! So we have an amazing guy Gary who’s supplied us with this speciality bean and if you do like your coffee, this is definitely a great one to try. We’ve also got the Green Beards Juice here too and it’s definitely the best in Dublin right now so delighted to have them in here too.”
