We adore this oh-so-glamorous 1940’s hairstyle. It’s so feminine and elegant and would suit anyone with medium to long locks.

Tools

1″ barrell curling iron

Large setting clips

Flat/paddle brush-light

Medium hold hairspray

Instructions

1) Find your side part. Either side will do.

2, 3, 4 & 5) You’re going to curl ALL of your hair inward toward your face (as Lauren does above) and clip the curls in place with large setting clips. Mist all over with a light-medium holding hairspray. Let them cool while you put on your makeup. Multi-Tasking!! Give it atleast 15 minutes to cool and set.

6) Gently pull the clips out and let your hair fall.

7) Using a flat or paddle brush, brush hair back and away from your face and then let it spring back. The wave pattern will automatically start to appear. Keep brushing gently until it shows up. We like to help it along by molding the waves where you want them by hand and then adding one more veil of hairspray.

The bob is back with a bang but it’s all about the WOB for 2015 (wavy bob – get it?) We love this look and are jealous of you ladies with bone structure that can pull it off! Here’s a few things to remember when working this wave.

1. What ever the texture

No matter if your hair is fine or thick, pin straight or wavy, this will suit any hair. If you have super curly hair then a good blow dry and a quick spritz of holding spray will do the trick.

Image // Little Miss Momma

2. Using tongs

Curl small sections starting from the base of your head. Start half way down the section to avoid that Irish dancing look!

Image // Buzzfeed

3. It’s ok to be messy

You don’t need to spend hours perfecting the perfect wave – this look can get away with being a little messy so it doesn’t matter if you curl different ways.

Image // Fashion Tag

4. Work it in

If your hair is naturally wavy, work in a holding product like sea salt spray and scrunch it into your hair for that natural beach wave.

We came across this retro hair tutorial and simply had to share it with you. If you think you can only get this stunning look in the salon then think again! This one is perfect for your Christmas party or any functions coming up.

1. Apply firm-hold styling gel to damp hair and comb through. Create a deep start part with a parting comb — use the arch of your eyebrow as a guide.

2. Sweep your hair away from the part with your fingers and hold it above the arch of the eyebrow opposite your part. Using your comb, sweep the hair forward toward your eye, and then back to your temple, creating a C shape. Insert flat duckbill clips (or large bobby pins) at the top and bottom of the C to hold the wave in place.

3. Continue to set your hair, using your comb to direct hair forward, then back, and clipping into place. Once you hit your jawline, take the loose hair and roll it up into a loop, creating a pin curl. Secure with another clip or bobby pin.

4. Mould hair along your face in the same way on the opposite side of your head, ending in a pin curl.

5. Next, take sections of hair at the back of your head and loop the hair into pin curls, securing with a clip.

6. Continue to create loose pin curls, until all of the hair at the back of your head is set. Diffuse, air dry, or set the curls with a little heat.

7. Once hair is dry and cool, release all of the pin curls. But, don’t remove the flat clips securing your finger wave just yet! Gently comb through the ends of your hair — the flat clips will ensure that you don’t pull out those beautiful C-shaped curls that are framing your face.

8. Remove those last clips, and you’re done!

A hair tutorial today for those with longer locks – this boho side braid is relaxed elegance. If you have thinner or shorter hair, add clip-in extensions to create more fullness and length. Go look gorgeous!

1) Create a deep side part and pull all hair to the opposite side.

2) Begin a regular French braid at the top, near the part.

3) Continue creating the French braid along the side/hairline moving towards the ear.

4+5) Add hair from the opposite side by taking horizontal sections and bringing them around to the front where the braid is located.

6) Continue taking even sections to add to both sides of the braid, making sure the braid remains located along the hairline.

7) Once you have placed all the loose hair into the braid, continue braiding the tail and secure with a clear rubber band.

8) Spray with finishing spray.

9) Loosen braid to desired size.

Add a little cute touch to your half up half down hairstyle with this precious little hair bow!

To get this look, you’ll need to start by taking two sections of hair from either side of your head:

Pull the two sections into a half ponytail but don’t pull it all the way through the elastic:

Split the loop in half:

Create a bow shape by securing each half of the loop to your head with bobby pins and then wrap the excess chunk of hair through the middle of the bow, also securing it with bobby pins:

Ta da!
