Hotspot: Monkstown Village – Dublin

One of our favourite spots to grab brunch and dinner outside of the city is Monkstown. As well as being a stones throw away from Dun Laoghaire pier and those views of the Irish Sea, it’s easily accessible by the Dart as well as having good parking, Here’s some of our favourite spots to visit.

1. Seapoint Restaurant

Quite simply one of the best places in Dublin to get a burger, it’s hard to resist getting it every time! The setting is relaxed enough for a mid week meal but sophisticated enough for date night on a Saturday. There’s nothing on the menu we wouldn’t devour with pleasure!

2. Salt @ Avoca

Situated beside the food hall, Salt serves up delicious breakfast and lunch options in a contemporary cottage setting. Don’t forget to end your visit with dessert (even if you’ve gone for breakfast) because it’s some of the best cake you’ll ever try!

3. The Pub @ FXB’s

The pub downstairs is a great spot to get a casual bite (the steak is a must) but if you’re looking for more of a formal setting then book into the restaurant upstairs.

4. Cafe du Journal

One of our favourite spots in Monkstown to grab brunch in Cafe du Journal. When the sun is shining there’s no better place to lap it up, do some people watching and tuck into a hearty breakfast.

5. Cinnamon

Coffee stops (and cake), fresh salads at lunch and tasty sharing boards at dinner in some cool surroundings is Cinnamon in Monkstown. Get yourself a glass of prosecco, wrap yourself up in a blanket and watch the world go by from the front patio.
