Hotspot: Dame Street/Lane
Despite Dublin being quite a small city, there’s more than enough streets to provide us with unique and really interesting social spots – the Dame Street/Dame Lane area being one of them. Here’s some of our favourite social haunts to eat and drink in that area.
1. Crackbird
Sister to the equally delicious Jo Burger, Skin Flint and Bear, Crackbird is all about the chicken. It’s trendy vibes and cool atmosphere makes for a great after work (or lunch) spot. PS. their soy garlic chicken is so tasty!
One of our favourite lunch spots in that area is Honest To Goodness. The salads and sandwiches are so fresh (the tomato bread is delicious) you know you’re getting real goodness. They also have Honest Pizza upstairs which is just as good if you’re looking for somewhere for dinner.

3. Stags Head
Whether it’s standing out the front in the Summer or all cosy inside in the Winter, the Stags Head always has a good atmosphere. It’s a great place for a catch up with friends and has been said to pour one of the best Guinness’s in Dublin.
4. Taco Taco
A new resident to the area, Taco Taco is a new contender to the trendy Mexican club in Dublin. As well as good evening grub, they’re also on the brunch buzz at weekends. We favour their Super Nacho Happy Hour (only €8.95 midweek) and The Champion Fizz cocktail!
5. Odessa
As you climb the 2, 3 or 4 flights of stairs depending on which of the bars you’re frequenting, you feel like you’ve just entered someones house for a few drinks on the sofa. The top floor is a great event space for big groups too.
