7 Places To Have A Sunny Drink Around Dublin
Now that the good weather has finally arrived, we all have one question on our lips; where can we go for a drink in the sun? There are so many great spots in Dublin now that facilitate sunny drinking, but here are just 7 of our favourites.
1. The Barge
When the sun comes out, you can always find people rushing to the barge pub on the canal to soak up the atmosphere over a pint.

The Pygs outdoor living room stretches along the side of the pub on Coppinger Row and is always buzzing when the sun is shining. Be sure to get there early on a Sunday as it’s the place to be for great drink deals.
This beautiful little urban garden is nestled at the back of the Drury Buildings bar and restaurant. They do delicious cocktails and craft beers as well as the option to dine al fresco on the balcony.
4. Bernard Shaw
A favourite with the young, moustache loving society, the Bernard Shaw near the canal has a big open space at the back that gets lots of sun. The big blue bus that serves cheap pizza is an added bonus.

Fade Streets roof garden is a lovely little sun trap with views of the beautiful Market Bar building. They have table service and do a mean flatbread if you get peckish.
6. The Bailey
Just off Grafton Street, The Bailey is a great spot to watch the world go by whilst sipping on a good pint.
For one of the best views of the city in the sun, it’s got to be the roof top garden in The Marker Hotel. It is a seated space so you may have to wait a little to be brought up and shown your table but it’s well worth the wait for optimum sun.
