5 Ways To Use Wood Panelling In Your Home

Thinking of decorating in 2015? Wood panelling is a great way to add warmth to a room and can be used in both contemporary or classic settings. We’ve picked a few ways of using this old technique in a new way.

1.  Start small

If the thought of wood panelling scares you, start small by using it as a mount for your tv, art etc, and create a statement piece in your room.

3. All the wall

Create a statement wall in a room by panelling all of it. Depending on the wood tone it can cool or warm up the space so choose the colour wisely.

4. Shape it up

Your panels don’t have to stick to horizontal or vertical – go diagonally and create dynamic shapes on your walls.

5. Panel and paint

You don’t have to stick to the woods natural colour – paint it in any colour that fits your design. We adore this white for a bright and airy feel – it creates an instant beach house feel.
