5 Ways To Feng Shui Your Home

Feng Shui, for those of you who don’t know, is an ancient Chinese system that considers spatial arrangement and orientation to control the flow of energy in an area. It’s all about harmonising the environment around you, and there’s no better place to apply this practice than the home. Here are 5 tips to help you do just that.

1. Clear out clutter

Getting rid of anything you don’t use or like in your home is the first step to creating a more serene environment at home. It’s like therapy for the home!


2. Breath in clean air

Opening the windows often to let in the fresh air is essential for good Chi (energy) in the home. If you’ll find that too cold, then investing in an air purifier is a great way to clean the air indoors.


3. Light it up

Allow as much natural light into your home as possible. If you don’t have windows in some rooms then a full spectrum light bulb will do the trick.

4. Choose the Bagua

Feng shui bagua is one of the main tools used in feng shui to analyse the energy of any given space. Basically, bagua is the feng shui energy map of your space that shows you which areas of your home or office are connected to specific areas of your life.


5. Kua number and lucky directions

Find out the above so that you can be energised by good energy from your best, or lucky feng shui directions. Adjust the position of your bed, your desk, the seating in your dining area, etc. For example, if your Kua number is 1, it is best to face one of the following directions: Southeast, East, South, and North.
