5 Things To Do In Dublin In The Sunshine

This weather is really heating up (Irish style of course), and it’s meant to stick around for the weekend – we love it when that happens! So, take out your shorts (and your sun cream!) and do one of these things this weekend to really enjoy Dublin on a sunny day.

1. Swim at Seapoint

This is a great spot for taking a dip in the Irish sea. If the tide is in you can wade out on the steps and plunge in. Even if you can’t face the cold (we say refreshing) waters, then it’s a lovely area to sun yourself in.

2. Walk Howth Head

This easy-to-intermediate walk around Howth Head gives you stunning views across the Irish sea. The view of the lighthouse in the sun is a beauty. Stop and get Beshoffs fish and chips after to top off your day!

3. Horse ride the Dublin Mountains or beaches

If you don’t fancy the hike on foot, hop on horse back and take in the views of our beautiful Dublin mountains. Alternatively hit the beach with one of these majestic animals. Check out Paddocks for pricing and routes.

4. Kayak the canal

Cruise down Dublin’s canal in a single or double kayak with your pals for an afternoon. It’s 5.7km and as well as a good work out, it’s a great way to see the city.

5. Wakeboard in Grand Canal Dock

If you’re a bit more of an adrenaline junkie, try the wake boarding at Grand Canal Dock with Wakedock. It’s great place to learn without the choppiness of the ocean!
