3 Autumn Makeup Palettes From Nadia El Ferdaoussi
Every year all the big brands bring out an Autumn palette, without fail. While they can sometimes be a bit samey, you can’t knock their wearability… neutrals flatter every skin tone and suit every eye colour, plus they’re great for on the go and can be multi purpose too (think highlighter, contour, brow shades!), and palettes tend to be really good value for money too.
I’ve chosen my top three favourites to pull off an Autumnal smokey eye this season:
1. Clarins Essentials Palette, €43. A mix of matte and satin shades with mineral extracts for a more comfortable feeling on the skin, comes with a handy double sided brush too!
2. Chanel Les 5 Ombres Limited Edition Palette, €56. Five classic shades in chic packaging, a timeless palette for your collection.
3. Essence All About Eyes Palette, €4.99. Great pigment and texture for the price, I love the ‘Greys’ palette on brown or hazel eyes and the ‘Nudes’ on blue or green.
Top tip: Whichever palette you go for, make sure you’ve got the right tools to complete the look. A flat brush works best to pick up shimmery shades which look great on the eye lid. Use a domed fluffy brush to blend medium matte tones into the crease or socket of your eye and a smaller more dense brush when using the darkest colours along the lash line.
